Good tennis web sites for instruction and tennis equipment:

Click on the below web sites to learn valuable insights on improving your tennis & getting quality equipment.

 A)  INSTRUCTION web sites

1)  tennisresources.com - this site presents info on how to improve your technique on all strokes.

2)  fuzzyyellowballs.com   -  this give excellent comments and pictures of the top players regarding how to

develop good stroke technique.  Please use it.  You will learn a lot.

3)  usta.com - this site gives a great deal of information on all aspects of the sport of tennis.  The USTA is the national governing
organization for our sport in America.  It also will lead you to tournament schedules for our area (PNW) Pacific
Northwest.  Go to USTA.com, then click on our region called Pacific Northwest, then click on the next 3-4 months
to run off tournament schedules for juniors or adults.

B)  EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING web sites and local shops:

1)  Players Tennis Shop (local)  www.playerspdx.com

Located on 2830 NE Sandy Blvd.  Portland  97232.
Visit or call Lance or John at: (503) 231-1120
Tell them Jim recommended your visit.
Go to the store website for more info:  playerspdx.com

You can compare prices with TennisWarehouse.com, but I have found that Players Tennis Shop is competitive with Tennis Warehouse, plus "Players" is local.  This means, if something goes wrong with the equipment or clothing, they will stand behind it and help you on the spot instead of having to send something back to a company in another state.  Another plus: if you purchase a racquet locally, Lance will string it for you for free.  Just tell them Jim sent you.

2)  Tenniswarehouse.com

Check the prices, then call Lance or John at "Players Tennis Shop" and they will usually match it.
